Hannah's Dance Recital

Hannah had her winter dance recital today. This was our first function to attend as the 4 of us. Although Daddy was not here, her name was NOT in the program (the printers neglected to see the last page on the back!), and I had to tote three kids there by myself, it went well. She did a tap number to "Frosty the Snowman". Hannah danced beautifully and did a f~a~b~u~l~o~u~s job! She looked so pretty and grown-up. Mommy gave her flowers after the program. Of course they were from Daddy!

The Time Has Come....

It's here. The time has come. He is gone....he did not leave for a few days or a few weeks. He did not leave on a business trip, or a vacation. He left for a year....to go to war. I think I am going to throw up.
I am filled with so many emotions. Sadness, anger, lonliness, fear, and pride. I am so proud of him. he is such a Godly man and I am thankful that his dream of being an Army Chaplain has finally come true. I am just sad that we are in a war time and duty has called him away. The fact that he loves his country and would die for it, humbles me. The sacrifices he is making are incredible. We went to church and had a prayer time for him. I am begging the LORD to bring my husband back to me. If not for me, for his little girls. They need him.

We're FONDue of Chocolate!

One of the best times we had together as a family during our pre-deployment adventures, was stopping at The Melting Pot. We went there for dessert. We had the Ying & Yang combo. Basically it is Milk Chocolate and White chocolate, that simmers over a warm plate while you dip yummy goodies into it. We had strawberries, pound cake, rice krispy treats, brownies, marshmallows and bananas. Delicious! Hannah, true to the first born nature, was cautious and never let a drop get anywhere but her mouth. Sammy, on the other hand....well, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. It was a fun time and one of the sweetest memories I have of the 5 of us. Can't wait to go back!
